A new Health Services Research Centre based at the University of Cambridge has launched.
The partnership between the University and RAND Europe has proved to be a great success. In addition to developing the health services research teams at each institution, we have been able to draw on strengths of the wider University and of experts from RAND Health in the US.

The Cambridge Centre for Health Services Research (CCHSR) is a collaboration between the University of Cambridge Health Services Research Group at the Institute of Public Health and the Health and Healthcare Group at RAND Europe.
Research at CCHSR focuses on measuring quality of health care, evaluating approaches and informing health policy development in the UK and internationally.
Professor Martin Roland, Chair in Health Services Research, says: "The partnership between the University and RAND Europe has proved to be a great success. "We have recruited an outstanding team of researchers, with appointments at postdoctoral level in psychology, sociology, economics, statistics and public health. This gives us the multi-disciplinary team that we need to do leading edge heath services research."
The Centre was officially launched by welcoming addresses from Professor Patrick Sissons (Regius Professor of Physic) and Dr Robert Brook (Director, RAND Health and Vice President, RAND Corporation) at a reception in Magdalene College.
