University welcomes Sovereign
07 June 2005The University is welcoming Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh today.
It has been a busy year for the University; here we look back at just some of the major developments and highlights that have kept Cambridge in the headlines:
A new Fitzwilliam Museum shop selling Christmas cards and gifts is now open at 14 King's Parade (opposite King's College Chapel).
World politics, Tibetan Buddhism and Anglo-Saxon Art are just a few of the courses on offer to anyone over 18 at the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education this autumn.
What is the purpose and future of university collections? These issues were discussed by an international meeting of academics and museum staff at a conference held at Peterhouse, Cambridge this week.
