Professor Lynn Gladden CBE, FRS, FREng has been selected to be the next Executive Chair of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), as announced today by Science Minister Sam Gyimah. She will take up the role in October, succeeding Professor Philip Nelson who will step down at the end of September.
Dr Jessica Gardner has been revealed as the new Librarian of Cambridge University Library – becoming the second female in the history of the institution to hold the role.
Professor Sarah Colvin, currently at Warwick University, has been announced as the new Schröder Professor of German, and is to start in the Department of German and Dutch in January 2014.
