Would you like to share your research more widely?
Our Rising Stars course offers training in engaging communications and public engagement for postgraduates, post-docs and early career academics at Cambridge. We’ll take you through the steps involved in planning, organising and delivering a public engagement activity with the opportunity to run the activity you have developed at the Cambridge Festival. The festival runs from 14-28 March 2024 with our family weekend on 23-24 March.

Sessions cover:
- Focussing on public engagement, looking at the why, who and what!
- Ethics and equity in engagement
- Creating innovative projects for public Festivals
- Essential event co-ordination; marketing, health & safety, evaluation
- Communication skills for engagement, accessibility and interactivity.
This intensive multi-disciplinary course consists of five three hour lunch and learn training sessions all running between 11am to 2pm and Festival participation. Attendance at all sessions is required.
