A conference organised by Pembroke College, Cambridge Conservation Initiative and WildFish Conservation has mobilised activists working to save chalk streams - one of the world's rarest habitats - from pollution and over-abstraction.
A unique archive acquired by Pembroke College Cambridge transforms our understanding of the two poets, showing how they drew career-defining inspiration from a little known friendship circle, and a shared passion for Ireland, water and fishing, spanning five decades.
“From a young age, the people we most want to confide in are our friends – then somehow that starts to change into worrying about what they will say if we do,” says Norah Al-Ani, Director of the Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre.
