Events in the Middle East are extremely upsetting and difficult, particularly for our students and colleagues with connections to the region.
On Monday 9 October, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for University Community and Engagement and the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education wrote to all staff and students, offering welfare and other types of support. We have also reached out to groups of students who are likely to have been more directly affected. We are monitoring the situation with concern, and will continue to respond to the needs of our community over the coming days and weeks.
