In light of the terrorism attacks today in London today and the severe disruption to transport, the University of Cambridge is making special arrangements tonight to accommodate young people who have been attending the Cambridge Open Days and cannot get home.
In light of the terrorism attacks today in London today and the severe disruption to transport, the University of Cambridge is making special arrangements tonight to accommodate young people who have been attending the Cambridge Open Days and cannot get home.
The University is recommending that anyone who can make their way home should do so, but for those who cannot they will be offered overnight accommodation in the Colleges.
Security services have advised the University that there is no specific threat to Cambridge.
Relatives and friends can call the Cambridge Admissions Office on 01223 333308 to check on the whereabouts of anyone who was attending one of the Open Days.
Prospective applicants and their parents/carers in Cambridge are being directed to one of two Welcome Desks at either at the Downing Site, Downing Street or the Faculty of Law, West Road.
Open Days planned for tomorrow, Friday July 8, will go ahead for applicants and their families who are able to get to Cambridge.
