The University of Cambridge is reinforcing its status as a world-class centre for electrical engineering with the construction of a £14.4M building.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the Centre for Advanced Photonics and Electronics (CAPE) at the West Cambridge site brought together scientists, designers, construction workers and senior University figures.

Professor Bill Milne, the University’s Head of the Electrical Engineering Division, explained how the building will benefit the work of the Department:
