A chance to discuss one of the hottest topics in science was on offer yesterday (Monday 18 March) when the University’s National Science Week team staged a debate on environmental pollution.
The audience were able to put their questions to a panel of experts including Cambridge University scientists Professor John Pyle, Director of the Centre of Atmospheric Science, and Dr Susan Owens OBE, Department of Geography, along with Stephen Tindale, Chief Executive of Greenpeace and Dr Bernard Bulkin, Chief Scientist at BP.
Chairing the debate was the BBC's science correspondent Pallab Ghosh.
