Social media training session - 14 February 2014

Public Engagement: Social Media for Impact and Knowledge Exchange Friday 14 Feb, 17 Mill Lane Seminar Room E, 2pm - 4.30pm.

Do you know your Paper.li from your Tweetdeck? How can you incorporate planning time and resource for using social media channels to communicate your research, for knowledge exchange and aiming for research impacts? This interactive session will provide overviews of possibilities, tips on reaching audiences and allow researchers to share their experiences and good practice with social media. The trainer is Rob Halden-Pratt, a journalist with 18 years’ experience in print, digital and broadcast media, with Nicola Buckley, Head of Public Engagement at the University, as co-facilitator.

This session is open to those at PhD level and above in any discipline.
