Teaching and technical staff from across the University are invited to an exhibition of the very latest in audio visual teaching aid technology next week.
The New Museums Site is hosting an AV Technology Day next Tuesday, a chance for staff to view and sample the most up to date products available.
Ranging from videoconferencing to digital signage, interactive whiteboard displays, plasma screens and distance learning tools, the equipment on display provides a wide range of audio visual solutions specifically for higher education customers.
Steve Homent, Chief AV Technician for the central sites lecture facilities, said: “With the explosion in the capabilities of audio visual technology over recent years, this is a superb opportunity for University teaching and technical staff to experience at first hand the latest products.”
Manufacturers will be on hand to discuss the relative benefits of different equipment and there will be an opportunity for feedback on what equipment could be supplied to the central sites lecture facilities.
The AV Technology Day takes place in the Large Examination Hall on the New Museums Site on Tuesday 18 September between 10.30am and 2.30pm. Entry is free and all are welcome.
The day has been organised by the University's Estate Management and Building Service in conjuction with Saville Audio Visual and a number of other suppliers.
