Nobel Prizewinner Professor Richard Schrock, one of the three Nobel Prizewinners for Chemistry this year, will be giving a lecture today (Wednesday, October 12) on his award-winning topic, ’‘Application of High Oxidation State Alkylidenes to Catalytic Processes in Organic and Polymer Chemistry’.
Nobel Prizewinner Professor Richard Schrock, one of the three Nobel Prizewinners for Chemistry this year, will be giving a lecture today (Wednesday, October 12) on his award-winning topic, ’‘Application of High Oxidation State Alkylidenes to Catalytic Processes in Organic and Polymer Chemistry’.
The Royal Society of Chemistry Edward Frankland Lecture will be held at 5pm at the Wolfson Lecture Theatre at the Department of Chemistry. The lecture will be simultaneously broadcast to the adjoining Pfizer Lecture Theatre.
Professor Schrock is the Frederick G Keyes Professor of Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
He shares the Nobel Prize with Yves Chauvin, Institut Français du Pétrole, Rueil-Malmaison, France, and Robert H. Grubbs California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Pasadena, CA, USA.
