A popular online business community is set to revolutionise communication between entrepreneurs from across the world with help from the University of Cambridge.

E.Factor is the only online global network created by and for enterpreneurs.

The Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (CfEL) is working with the E.Factor team to set up the first ‘Satellite’ of this online networking service specifically aimed at entrepreneurs. It will help Cambridge entrepreneurs to link up with other entrepreneurs and professionals from across the globe to exchange ideas and discuss their business problems.

The CfEL Satellite is set up as a closed community that allows CfEL to control its own content while giving its members complete access to all E.Factor services. Members gain access to the Satellite by signing on via the E.Factor link on the CfEL home page (see link above right).

The E.Factor and CfEL network will enable members to connect with each other.

E.Factor operates several different services ranging from practical advice on how to set up a company to funding requests and an online shop.

Dr Shai Vyakarnam, Director CfEL, is enthusiastic about the collaboration: “The launch of the CfEL network on the E.Factor proves the Judge Business School to be a thought leader in education and entrepreneurship. The Centre is open to new ideas and experiments which offer benefits to our students, alumni and other members of our enterprise community and this fits well with the increasing opportunities for education through connecting with social networks.”

The E.Factor, in cooperation with CfEL, is launching the network in the UK with a stimulating discussion, "Alternative Energy and Entrepreneurs" next Monday, 21 April. The discussion will be led by Peter Fusaro, chairman of Global Change Associates, to be held in the CBI Conference Centre in London, free for all E.Factor members.

Judge Business School-based CfEL aims to spread the spirit of enterprise to both the University of Cambridge community and to wider national and international audiences. The Centre offers a range of educational activities such as courses, events and programmes in entrepreneurship.
