More than 150 academic, business and government policy thought leaders from around the world will convene at King’s College in Cambridge this week to explore the reasons why prevailing economic theory failed to predict the financial and economic crisis that erupted in 2007-2008.
Cambridge Judge Business School is to video stream the star-studded INET conference live on 9-10 April from 8am to 5pm.
The Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET) conference has an astounding line up of speakers including: George Soros, Chairman of Soros Fund Management, Professors Joseph Stiglitz, George Akerlof and James Mirrlees, all winners of the Nobel Prize in Economics, and Adair Turner, Chair of the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
The INET Conference @ King's is by invitation only but Cambridge Judge Business School will provide access to the wider Cambridge community on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 April by video streaming the daytime conference sessions live from King’s to its state-of-the-art lecture theatre.
It is understood that Bloomberg, CNN, BBC and Thompson Reuters film crews will be at the Judge to interview local people and gauge public sentiment.
