BlueSci, Cambridge's popular science magazine, celebrates its first birthday with its fourth issue this autumn.

BlueSci is produced by a team of undergraduate and postgraduate students as part of the university society Cambridge University Science Productions (CUSP) and is published by Varsity Publications Ltd.

The magazine contains a collection of accessible articles in addition to Cambridge science news stories, reviews of scientific books and events and reports on scientific endeavours outside the laboratory.

As well as BlueSci, CUSP produces a weekly radio show on CUR1350 and is involved in many other activities including recent live internet broadcasts from the BA Festival of Science in Dublin.

In the fourth issue, articles cover the future of organ transplants, a thriving area of medical research encompassing topics as diverse as ethics and bioengineering, as well as the science of obesity and optical illusions.
