Over 1,000 people from 15 countries are returning to Cambridge for the 15th Alumni Weekend.

The event is officially opened by the Vice-Chancellor on Friday evening with a reception and private viewing of the Macclesfield Psalter at the Fitzwilliam Museum.

This year's 'Come and Sing' concert is particularly special. This is the first year that the choral concert has had orchestral accompaniment and it is a privilege to have the Cambridge Graduate Orchestra, under the direction of Dr Peter Tregear, to accompany the choir whilst celebrating their first anniversary.

Haydn's Nelson Mass has been chosen to commemorate the bicentenary of the Battle of Trafalgar this year - a mass for 'times of tribulation'. Singers are welcome to join in the afternoon rehearsals from 4pm and the 9.30pm performance, conducted by Christopher Brown, at the Emmanuel United Reformed Church on Trumpington Street. Audience tickets will be available on the night from 9pm.

On Saturday, both Lady Mitchell Hall and Little Hall are full for Sir David Frost's interview with the Vice-Chancellor. They will be joined by David Starkey, Griff Rhys Jones and Simon Singh and contributions from the audience of over 600.
