Computer Lab wins national award

The William Gates Computer Laboratory, situated on the University's West Cambridge development, has won the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) prize for high architectural standards and for making a contribution to the local environment. It was designed by London architects RMJM.

Cambridge GP Dr Stephen Barclay has joined the University of Cambridge to carry out a three-year study of palliative care in the community for people with cancer. His research is funded by Macmillan Cancer Relief and he is based at the General Practice and Primary Care Research Unit.
