A Cambridge University professor has admitted to being stunned after winning a ’‘Grand Gold Medal’ from the Russian Academy of Science.
Professor Austyn Mair, CBE, the former head of the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge who carried out pioneering work on supersonic aircraft designs, has died aged 90.
The Reverend Professor C. F. D. Moule, known to all as 'Charlie', was from 1951 to 1976 the Lady Margaret Professor of Divinity, the oldest Chair in Cambridge University, once held by Erasmus.
