Two awards categories have been announced by Cambridge University Students' Union (CUSU) as part of the current CUSU Anti-racism campaign.
The categories focus on the promotion of diversity and understanding.
The CUSU Anti-Racism and Black Students Campaigns aim to promote understanding and dialogue as a means of preventing racism.
Nominations can be put forward for individuals or for societies but each nomination must be proposed by two people. The nominations will be open throughout Michaelmas and Lent terms of the same academic year.
Following nominations a shortlist will be drawn up by the CUSU Anti-Racism Officer, Black Students' Campaign and the CUSU Welfare Officer from which the prize winners will be selected.
Winners will receive £100 and £50 for the diversity and understanding awards respectively, to be spent further promoting their activity, along with a memorial plate.
Nomination forms are being sent out in the CUSU Bulletin but can also be requested by email and are available to download from the CUSU website.
The final decision will be made by a board of judges including the CUSU Executive.
